Hello there readers!

I hope that everything is going well with you and that you have had a good start of the year. I can’t believe that it is the middle of February already!

We have had a lot of work here at the office and we are making many changes for the better. There are many more beverage development packages for us to offer our new clients and we are customizing and adjusting the business plans of our existing ones.

So, now let’s talk about a trend that has been going on in the Beverage Industry for a couple of years now. Coconut Water is a type of beverage that has been exploited by many brands, and for a good reason. It has many hydrating qualities that are comparable to water itself and its particular taste makes it a great product to experiment with.

Recently, different flavors have been added to the water, and also established brands have come out with their own version of coconut infused beverages to keep up with the trend. So, even though there are many products out there that have this ingredient, there are many other exploitable fields for up and coming brands.

The feel that coconut water gives the consumer is that of natural freshness, so organic brands can also have a field day with these benefits, especially with the look of the product.

“A lot of coconut water producers have chosen to go with eco-friendly cardboard packaging, which may also be driving the wellness category because a lot of wellness consumers are into eco-friendliness, so that may be one way to set themselves apart, with the packaging,” says Agata Kaczanowska, beverage industry analyst with IBISWorld, Santa Monica, Calif.

The water can be established as a complete brand, and endorsement deals can help. The popularity of pop singer Rihanna and the fact that she was born in the island of Barbados, make her a perfect candidate for this task. Vita Coco made a deal with her in 2011 to make her the face of its Tropical Fruit variety.

As we can see, that are many ways the use the market trends in one’s favor. So, do you think stickin with Coconut Water is a good idea? What other fruits that have these qualities are a good fit for a water or a juice?

Have any more ideas? If so, Call us! If not, still call us! I would love to hear from you and chat!
