The Energy Drink Revolution

Learn how to jump start your energy drink project fast!

Many people want to start their energy drink company and spend dozens of hours surfing the net and calling companies all around the USA to see how to get started, how to get all the ingredients, how to label, buy cans or bottles and how to bottle.

The problem is there is no real information out there on how to actually start your energy drink company. Suppliers are now asking you for large amounts of money just to speak with you because of the demand they have and lack of time. What can you do as an entrepreneur?

The first thing you should do as an entrepreneur of Energy Drink Beverages is focus on the most important points of creating your company. These points will include:

Beverage Development: including flavor, formulation, label, package (like a can or a bottle), and size (the best is 16 oz).
Production: Where will you produce your energy drink, what is the price per case with what minimums, how to warehouse it and where, shipping costs.

Marketing: How is your product different from the rest? Your differentiator can be taste, packaging, ingredients, or sales strategy. Who is your customer and how will you sell to them? How will you let the distributors, retailers and consumers know about your product? What is your budget per store and per case?

Sales & Distribution: How will you sell your product to wholesalers, distributors, retailers and consumers? What are your pricing models for every level of sales? How many salespeople will you need and where? How many accounts will you open per city and how?

Exit & Business Strategy: How much money will you need? Do you have to raise money through investors? Will you sell the company? When will you sell it? How much money will your company make per year for the next 3 years? What are those numbers based on? How many accounts per day will you open to achieve these numbers?

We all see how Red Bull, Monster Energy Drink, Rockstart Energy Drink and other products like Sobe, Hansen’s products, Full Throttle, Noz and all the other energy drinks are growing. We see them in supermarkets, convenience stores an now in different types of retail stores. We’ve seen how these companies grow at up to 100% every year. The question is how can entrepreneurs start and do the same with their products. Or in many cases entrepreneurs don’t want to grow exponentially from the start and would like to sell to local stores in their town or in their city.

How can you start? Who can help? Who has done every level of beverage development, distribution and sales? We have! We can help you from start to finish with your product.  If you want to read more about beverage consultants click here:

These are just a few points that you need to explore when starting your energy drink company or any beverage company. The points can be the basis for your business or operational plan.

If you are ready to start your energy drink or any other beverage NOW we have a new plan to help you start in just a few days and be ready with your product quickly.

Energy Drink Explosion Hits Food

Mintel expects energy drink buzz to spill over into food, snacks and candy

CHICAGO – Anyone who’s been to a convenience store, sporting event or bar lately knows–energy drinks are hot. Mintel’s latest report on energy drinks values the retail market at $4.8 billion, a growth of over 400% from 2003.

Mintel sees the number of “energy drinkers” growing quickly. In 2003, only 9% of adult respondents to Mintel’s survey said they drank energy drinks. In 2008, 15% did. Teens have picked up energy drinks even faster. Mintel’s latest survey of teenagers revealed 35% regularly consume energy drinks, up from 19% in 2003.

The idea of iced coffee as a packaged refreshing beverage is not new.  When Starbucks presented their double shot followed by other products nobody was surprised that it brought success.  When Hansen’s introduced “Monster Java” and was greatly successful everybody was surprised.  Maybe it was the fact that Hansen’s Moster Energy Drink moved to brand extensions, or that people thought the coffee drinker and the energy drink consumer don’t mix.

What is apparent is the success of coffee drinks in the energy drink category.  Rockstar followed with their own product and Coca Cola also has their “Full Throttle Coffee”.

For the full scoop of Coca-Cola’s Full Throttle Coffee visit this review.

All In Energy Drink

Do you like Poker? Have you ever seen the World Series of Poker? This is a drink ofter shown on TV when the pro’s are playing.  It is a good beverage strategy!

The free media time they get is a good way to promote, however I have not seen any of their distribution channels and don’t know if they are in any retail accounts.

It has original packaging and comes in 3 flavors. See a good review here

Jorge Olson

Warrenville, Ill. — Red Bull is going green as it adds new International DuraStar hybrid trucks from Navistar that achieve 30-40 percent more fuel efficiency. (PRNewsFoto/Navistar International Corporation)

WARRENVILLE, IL UNITED STATES

Trucks Save 30-40% Fuel Costs While Reducing Emissions

    WARRENVILLE, Ill., Aug. 14 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- The nation's
leading manufacturer of energy-saving trucks is set to provide a new fleet
of hybrid delivery trucks for the number one energy drink in the U.S., Red
Bull.

    (Photo: http://www.newscom.com/cgi-bin/prnh/20080814/AQTH505)

Navistar (NYSE: NAV) has announced the delivery of Red Bull's first
fleet of diesel hybrid electric trucks that achieve 30-40 percent better
fuel efficiency and emit up to 33 percent less hydrocarbon emissions and 35
percent less nitrogen oxide emissions versus standard diesel trucks.

The four International DuraStar Hybrid trucks were delivered this week
to Red Bull's Southern Nevada Distribution Center in Las Vegas and will be
used in the Las Vegas metropolitan area.

"We're proud that Red Bull recognizes the importance of green
transportation for the environment," said Jim Williams, director, sales and
distribution, new products, Navistar. "We need more companies like this to
take a stance and add hybrid vehicles to their fleets."

Each truck is estimated to save nearly $4,000 in fuel costs per year.
Over the course of a truck's 7- to 10-year life cycle, the four
International DuraStar Hybrid units could save up to $160,000 in fuel
costs.

A key to the International DuraStar Hybrid's efficiency is the Hybrid
Drive Unit, which helps power the diesel engine and leads to less diesel
fuel use and fewer emissions. Through the regenerative braking system, the
battery in the Hybrid Drive Unit is recharged when the truck's brakes are
applied. This energy-saving system makes delivery applications and in-city
driving the ideal conditions for these hybrid vehicles.

Navistar received the 2007 Blue Sky Award from WestStart-CALSTART for
its contributions to the commercial development of diesel-hybrid
technology. This preeminent award is presented each year by
WestStart-CALSTART, the nation's leading advanced transportation technology
industry organization working to support and accelerate the growth of
companies developing clean and energy-efficient transportation
technologies.

Shortly after that award, Navistar announced in November 2007 that it
was the first commercial truck company to enter line production of hybrid
trucks. Customers can learn more about hybrid trucks at
http://www.InternationalTrucks.com/hybrid.
